Thank you for visiting cordyline.co.uk. We are a landscape gardening business with an emphasis on soft landscaping, landscape management and specialist pruning. Soft landscaping means the horticultural side of garden making. Our service includes planting design and advice, sourcing and supplying plants, soil preparation, planting, turfing and aftercare. We have also installed a number of green roofs. We have carried out soft landscaping work in conjunction with architects, landscape architects and developers as well as private clients. We are gardeners at heart and interested in the ongoing management and development of gardens and landscapes. Essentially this means we offer a grounds maintenance service, but we aren't the type of gardeners who just cut grass and blow leaves. Our intention is always to improve and develope. We believe the best gardens are not just the product of the initial design and construction. As they evolve and mature they need careful practical guidance to maintain the aesthetic balance between plants and hard surfaces and the combinations of plants in the planting schemes. The specialist pruning service we offer includes topiary, hedges, fruit trees, and Japanese style pruning and training of garden trees and cloud pruning. In practical terms landscape management and pruning can entail weekly, monthly or sometimes seasonal or annual visits. Currently we manage the grounds of two schools as well as various private gardens. In all landscapes and gardens we like to encourage wildlife. We are very aware of our responsibility as gardeners to the wider environment and as a general rule work in as organic a way as possible. We're based in Brighton and tend to work mostly in the South East and sometimes London, but we're open to suggestion. We're happy to travel depending on the nature of the project. If you need any further help please phone Nick Allen on 07841 522 066. Nick can talk you further through the services we offer, give advice and guidance on specific horticultural problems or arrange for an initial site visit. If we can't help we should be able to point you in the direction of someone who can.
